Setting Processor Affinity in Windows
Why would you want to set a processor affinity for P2 viewer? It seems that the multithreading in the application has a few bugs, occasionally causing problems with playback speed and sound sync. Setting the affinity sometimes solves this problem.
Here's what you'll do:
- Launch P2 Viewer
- Right click on an empty part of the taskbar and select "Task Manager"
- Find "P2Viewer.exe", right click, and select "Set Affinity..."
- You will see checkboxes next to all the cores and processors available to Windows. Deselect all of them except CPU 0
- Click "OK" and exit task manager
If that doesn't work, you can try restarting Windows or using an older version of P2 Viewer.
